A striking, old guitar made by Freshman (Foreign). I know very little about it and it is sold as not working as I guess that some work would need to be done. Please read condition notes below. It is a great decorative piece.

I would guess it is perhaps 1960s or 70s.  It is slightly smaller than average with 18 frets (?) and a small body.

UK POSTAGE ONLY

Colours may be a little different to those in some photos.

Condition:  Untested. I imagine it will most likely need attention and there are some external points too: 2 machine heads need straightening, but they all turn fairly well. A screw is missing from the scratch plate near the knobs and it lifts to reveal the pots. A string is missing. The pick-ups move around and will need securing and also one of the plaques on one pick-up is slightly bent/lifting. The main structure is good, the neck seems straight and the neck to body join is surprisingly strong. There is some wear (heavier in usual places) and some tarnishing, dust etc. I haven't looked inside it. The switch seems ok and the knobs turn (although the last one may have a problem - it is hard to tell with the scratch plate lifting). The fretboard and action seem ok to me.  Generally an unusual and interesting vintage guitar which might make an interesting repair project.

Sold as a decorative item.

I prefer Paypal because I am usually in the shop during banking hours. If it states that I accept cheques or postal orders in the listing, please be aware that there could be a delay in shipping times of up to 14 days (although it is usually less). E-cheques also result in delays of up to a week. Items can be collected in person, from the shop, 5 days a week. Please ask if you would prefer to pay cash on collection. Overseas Buyers - I accept only Paypal for non-UK buyers. Please wait for an updated invoice before paying (I have to refund and re-invoice if you pay the UK postage price).

I usually post within 2-3 days of a cleared payment. If you would prefer a different service please ask. I cannot post on Mondays and Saturdays so payments made on Fridays may experience delays. I make an effort to post as quickly as I can, particularly if payment is made promptly.

A: Hi, The scratch plate is lifting because the screw is missing, but it is quite thin so could be prised up fairly easily between the screws but this isn't a major problem. The chrome mounts around the pick ups are... Continue reading

E-CHEQUES - result in delayed postage (about 4-10 days normally) CHEQUES - If cheques are accepted for this item, please make payable to A J Dutton. Cheques can result in quite long delays due to the difficulty I have in getting to the bank during shop hours (which is why I prefer Paypal and Postal Orders). Thanks.
