Dead Sea Salts a natural healing remedy

For centuries the therapeutic properties of Dead Sea Salt have been known. Dead Sea Salts have been found to be beneficial in the relief of many ailments.

Usng Dead Sea Salts in your bath at home is a great way to relax and unwind. Previously only available in spas and expensive skin care clinics. Therapeutic Dead Sea Salt baths are now becoming common practice in homes. A Dead Sea Salt bath provides a medium for deep relaxation, as well as a feast of minerals for the skin. Dead Sea Salts are packed with 10 times more minerals than ordinary sea salt.

Mineral rich and less drying than normal sea salt, dead sea salts have been used for millennia to nourish the skin and ease aches and pains.

The Salt derived from the Dead Sea contains at least 21 different minerals, 12 of which are not found in the water of any other ocean or sea.  Dead Sea Salt is one of the highest natural sources of  Magnesium, said to have amazing skin healing properties. Magnesium is known for accelerating cell metabolism and aids in the skin’s healing process. Some studies indicate that psoriasis sufferers show a shortage of magnesium.  (Does bathing in magnesium rich Dead Sea Salt increase the body's level of Magnesium? To treat skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis, it is recommended to add approx 950g (two pounds) of Dead Sea salt to a lukewarm bath. This much is necessary to start changing the skin’s chemistry.  It is also important that the temperature of a healing bath should only be about 2 degrees warmer than the temperature of your body. Hot bath water causes the skin to eliminate instead of absorb.

For treatment of mild to severe psoriasis or eczema it is recommended to use between 500g and 1 Kg of dead sea salt in a bath, twice per week for an initial period of 4 weeks. try and stay in the bath for at least 20 minutes.
