Ret Mint Swarovski Silver Crystal Figurine- Tiger

Many people who are new to the Swarovski Silver Crystal line of collectibles may have missed some of the exciting examples of true craftsmanship offered in pieces that are already retired.  Here is an opportunity to add real valve to your growing collection!  Retirements are always at the end of the year.

Created by Michael Stamey, the Tiger was introduced in 1998 as part of the “Endangered Species” group.  Made of clear faceted stones with greenish-yellow stones for the cat’s eyes, this piece is about 5 1/2” long and was retired in 2002.  The tail is smooth clear crystal.

Many people know of the power the tiger has, and the fierceness of its hunting behavior.  This interpretation shows the tiger in a more relaxed state.  In this pose, the tiger is standing, as though waiting for something; the tail is at rest, not needed for balance as when running.  The form of the crystal at all four shoulders gives the sense of the great power just waiting to be unleashed.

A good companion piece for the tiger is Michael Stamey’s Leopard, issued in 1997.  He also did his homework on the leopard, giving a good contrast between the speed of the leopard and the power of the tiger.  The tiger was not produced as long as the leopard, only four plus years.  There was some recognition by the SCS members that these two larger editions of powerful animals might start a trend in the Silver Crystal line.

SHIPPING STATEMENT

All items will be shipped USPS Priority with a delivery confirmation tracking number which will be given to you in an email when your item has shipped.  Unless you are notified otherwise, shipments will be within 3 business days of verified payment received.

International shipments are welcome to Australia, Canada, and Europe.  Winning bidders are required to contact the seller to find out the final shipping costs which will be added to the purchase price for payment to PayPal.  I will honor the "free shipping" for the amount that would have been charged for domestic destinations, typically about $7.  Alaska and Hawaii buyers are welcome, but shipments will incur extra costs which the buyer agrees to pay.  Use the eBay shipping calculator to get your estimated costs.  If you have further questions, please contact me.

If an auction is closed several days after your first winning bid, I will gladly delay shipment of your first order so that you only have to track and look out for a single box.  This is very convenient if you have to pick up your package at the post office; you only have to make one trip.

For those of you who prefer to "Get It Fast" I will process and mail within 1 business day of payment confirmation and use the USPS Express Mail option instead of Priority Mail.  Now, even the USPS won't actually guarantee overnight, so I won't either, but it is the fastest method available to the USPS right now.  There will be an added charge for this option and it is NOT included in the price of the item purchased.  Please contact me about the cost, and if you email, put your mailing addrress in the email so I can let you know right away.  Oh, and while I can't mail it on Sunday, your package can be delivered to you on a Saturday or Sunday "in most places", according to the USPS.  You could just save that birthday after all!

CONDITION STATEMENT

All of these items are pre-loved from my private collection and as such have been very well protected.  Should there be any damage or flaw that I am aware of such will be described in detail in the listing.  Should you discover something I missed, please know that it wasn’t on purpose and you should contact me immediately to resolve the issue.  I want you to be as happy owning them as I have been.

RETURN POLICY STATEMENT

All sales are final, but please note that I am paying for shipping and also insurance to protect your investment. 

Your Swarovski purchase will be packed in its original Swarovski packaging unless you are told otherwise in the listing.  That packaging will be placed in a new corrugated shipping box with protection all around it.  In the unlikely event of breakage due to shipping the buyer shall hold seller harmless, and an insurance claim will be filed with the USPS.  Make sure you save all the shipping materials as they will be needed to support the claim.
