ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This water offering seasoned wooden cup is made of strong salwood popular for its hardness. This cup is used for offering water during prayer in Buddhism and Hinduism. Wooden cup is regarded more sacred and auspicious as compared to metal cup because wood comes directly from nature whereas metal needs to be processed. This hard cup is also used in serving sauce in monasteries and as an item of decoration in homes. It can be used for holding small items in homes, offices and laboratories. What you see in this picture is the natural color of this cup. The surface of this cup is highly polished and smooth. This cup is not painted; it is only enameled.
