The Little Gleaner and Young People's Treasury.
Houlston and Sons, London. 1894. Vol XVI

A variety of stories and articles with many engraved illustrations. The photos give the impression that every other page is illustrated, so please note that there are many pages with just text.  I am assuming it is a yellowback, for obvious reasons, but I have little knowledge in this area. Please also note that the pages appear whiter in the photos than they actually are.

Condition: Good for age and format.  The covers are worn, rubbed and soiled. Bumps to ends and corners. Inside there is yellowing and slight foxing.  Presentation plate on front pastedown.  Hinges are split but the binding is still strong with a wobble. Minor usage marks and a little creasing.  Pencil price and some pencil writing on the odd page.  There are also some pressed flowers inside and a four leafed clover which I will leave in as they won't cause any more marking than they already have (minor). The strings have loosened slightly and there are a couple of anomalies which means a few pages protrude with some chipping and creasing.  A comfortable enough read and the illustrations are quite bright.

I prefer Paypal because I am usually in the shop during banking hours. If it states that I accept cheques or postal orders in the listing, please be aware that there could be a delay in shipping times of up to 14 days (although it is usually less). E-cheques also result in delays of up to a week. Items can be collected in person, from the shop, 5 days a week. Please ask if you would prefer to pay cash on collection. Overseas Buyers - I accept only Paypal for non-UK buyers. Please wait for an updated invoice before paying (I have to refund and re-invoice if you pay the UK postage price).

I usually post within 2-3 days of a cleared payment. If you would prefer a different service please ask. I cannot post on Mondays and Saturdays so payments made on Fridays may experience delays. I make an effort to post as quickly as I can, particularly if payment is made promptly.

E-CHEQUES - result in delayed postage (about 4-10 days normally) CHEQUES - If cheques are accepted for this item, please make payable to A J Dutton. Cheques can result in quite long delays due to the difficulty I have in getting to the bank during shop hours (which is why I prefer Paypal and Postal Orders). Thanks.
