Key Technologies
HD Movie 720p allows the T900 to capture HD movies at
30 fps and 1280 x 720 pixel resolution as if grabbing a quick snapshot.
The T900 employs the high-quality, high-compression MPEG-4 format to
store up to 60 minutes of movie action on a single 4 GB Memory Stick.
The camera can be connected via an optional cable to an HDTV such as
BRAVIA for stunning large-screen home movie viewing enjoyment.
BRAVIA Sync greatly enhances large-screen HD photo and
movie viewing pleasure with extra easy and convenient operation. When
the Cyber-shot is connected via HDMI cable with a BRAVIA HDTV that is
compatible with BRAVIA Sync, the camera playback screen automatically
appears on the TV and the user can command the camera with the BRAVIA
remote controller.
Optical SteadyShot is an Optical Image Stabiliser that automatically steadies shaky hands and vibrations to produce sharp digital images.
Intelligent Auto Mode replaces auto shooting mode, and
is selectable via the touch screen. When this mode is active, the
camera automatically determines the optimal settings for each scene by
using the Intelligent Scene Recognition.
Smile Shutter which
automatically detects and captures smiling faces, can now be used in
tandem with Intelligent Scene Recognition. This means smiling portraits
will look better than ever because Intelligent Scene recognition
automatically determines the optimal settings for difficult shooting
conditions. As before, Smile Shutter also lets users select the degree
of Smile Detection sensitivity as well as the adult or child priority
setting to automatically shoot when a child or adult smiles.
BIONZ is Sony’s high performance imaging processor which enables the T900 to deliver high quality photos and fast image processing.
Dynamic Range Optimiser
is further improved to automatically optimise exposure and contrast for
each scene. This is especially useful for preventing underexposure of
the subject when shooting backlit portraits, and for any scenes
exhibiting strong lighting contrast between background and foreground.
