In Borneo, miniature cannons have been in existence for long time probably more than hundred years. The cannons were designed and decorated in the same way compare to the larger pieces. All the Borneo cannons are made of Brass, so it will never rust and will last for thousand years with beautifully aged.
Cannons play an important role in the life of the Borneo’s natives, it had spiritual and magical use. This can be seen from the decoration of the barrel and the elaborated detailing of design and engraving. Crocodile, dragon, dolphin, snake and flora are common figure that can be found on the cannon.
