About the book

It was in 1909 at the age of 50 that Davidson brought his not very happy life to an end. His output was large, but this collection is a generous and comprehensive one made by R D Macleod, who has also written a long biographical introduction. All Davidson’s books are now out of print, eagerly sought for both here and in America; he is represented in many anthologies. Portrait by William Rothenstein.
