Paradise Lost - Milton - Book For Restoration - c. 1812

An old copy of John Milton's Paradise Lost (and Regained). Stereotype edition, so presumably earlier than the new stereotype edition of 1812.

Nuttall, Fisher and Dixon. Liverpool.

Please note that this is in need of restoration and would make a worthy bookbinding project.

Condition:

Poor.  In need of renovation. Front board is detached and the initial pages are attached to it, up to (and including) title page. The prefix ends at page 20 and Paradise Lost commences at page 33 with apparently no loss of contents (other copies listed have same anomaly).  The rear hinge is split and possibly missing the free endpaper. The main body is good with minor yellowing and foxing which is occasionally heavier. There is also some ghosting of the illustrations. Very minor worm holes at bottom corner (latter half) and occasional creasing. The ends and corners are bumped and there is wear to extremities and tape residue on edge of spine.
