ITEM DESCRIPTION:

The beads of this necklace are carved by the artisan in Nepal from the strong bone of Himalayan ox-like animal (known as yak). There are 24 human skull-like beads used in this necklace. Eyes, teethes, nose, nostrils, ears, holes behind the ears in skull and scalp are carved in each of twenty four skull-like beads of this necklace. Length of this necklace is 34 cm. The strong nylon black thread of this necklace can be pulled to make this necklace upto a length of 48cm. As seen in this picture, there are also used smaller round and flat yak bone beads in between the skull-like beads of this necklace. Each skull-like bead of this necklace measure roughly about 15mmx11mmx9mm in size. Weight of this necklace is 61gm (2.2 ounce).
