In order to ensure the effective battle performance of Tank Panther 2 in the 21st century, Germany initiated on innovation program since 1990s, hence came Panther 2A5. The new reinforced armored components are installed in the front curving area of the turret and new type of fire control system is available. Panther 2 A6 is equipped with a main gun of 120mm L/55 (55 times diameter) tube. Having been ranked No. 1 in tank ranking list over the last few years, it has become the most advanced main battle tank in the world and can serve easily up to the early 21st century.
