This is a sculpture entitled "Dentist Visit" by Honore Daumier. Daumier captures the real life experience of Visiting The Dentist in the 19th century. Using rudimentary tools, the dentist inspects his patient's mouth. Taken from a Daumier lithograph, this sculpture is a faithful adaptation in three dimensions of the original.

HONORE DAUMIER (1808-1879) French artist, lithographer, caricaturist and painter who was famed for his biting satire. He was imprisoned once for six months in 1832 after drawing a cartoon of King Louis Philippe. Daumier produced about 4,000 lithographs and some 200 paintings, but did not receive major recognition until after his death.
