This auction is for an original painting by one of the World's foremost Marine Artists, Anthony D Blake (A D Blake).

Some of his paintings are featured in the book "Yachts on Canvas" by James Taylor, assistant curator of paintings in the Greenwich National Maritime Museum in London.

This painting is dated 1982, and called Steep Seas in the Channel (written on the back by the artist).

Signed and dated by the artist lower right, and agian on the back.

Acrylic and Gouache on board.

The board is 24 x 18".

The painting is in excellent condition.

Framed - the frame is about 30 x 24'. Frame has a stain in the left corner.

His work is sold around the world, usually in the $30-40,000 range.

Sotheby's Australia sold one for about $100,000.
