Treatment for Eczema, Pimples (Acne), Rash

When the skin is red, itching, burning, cracking or peeling, practise care in cleansing your skin and do not use harsh or irritant soaps. After cleansing, apply gently but thoroughly a liberal amount of Nixoderm so that the entire surface is covered.

This should be done twice daily i.e. in the morning and in the evening. The treatment should be followed for seven days then discontinued for three days and resume for a further seven days. Continue this pattern of treatment until the condition clears up. If the skin problem persists after prolonged treatment, you should consult a doctor.

Treatment for Foot Itches

Itching, cracking, peeling and scaling of the skin of the feet, on the soles and in-between the toes usually is caused by a germ or parasite which burrows deep down under the skin. This is a stubborn condition and usually requires treatment over a considerable period of time. On account of the germs being buried under the skin, it often seems that the feet are entirely healed and then it will break out again. For that reason it is well to follow the treatment for two or three weeks after the skin seems to be well.

It is helpful to bathe the feet for a few minutes twice a day - morning and evening - in a bowl of warm water to which has been added 2 tablespoons of table salt and 1/2 tablespoon of baking soda. The feet should then be dried thoroughly and apply gently but thoroughly a liberal amount of Nixoderm into the affected area, paying special attention to the areas between the toes.

Continue this pattern of treatment until the condition has cleared up. This is one of the most stubborn skin conditions hence symptoms may only disappear only to re-emerge.

Therefore it is recommended that treatment continues for three weeks after symptoms have disappeared. Clean pantyhose and socks (preferably cotton) should be worn and changed everyday. This same condition also often affects the hands - the same method of treatment applies.

Treatment for Ringworm

Ringworm is due to fungus which burrows under the surface of the skin and is evidenced by round or circular red blotches on the skin.

In treating this condition, apply gently but thoroughly a liberal amount of Nixoderm twice daily in the morning and evening. The treatment should be followed for seven days then discountinued for three days and resumed for a further seven days. Continue this pattern of treatment until condition has cleared up. This is also one of the most stubborn skin conditions therefore it is recommended that treatment continues as long as it is necessary.

Your Skin and Nixoderm

Diet has a major effect on skin problems; eating fresh vegetables and reducing the amount of fat in your diet can help avoid them. However, should they arise, you will find that Nixoderm can be soothing and curative treatment. When Nixoderm is first applied to extremely sensitive skin, it can cause smarting. To avoid this, apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly before the application of Nixoderm; this need only be done for the first few applications as your skin will gradually accustom to Nixoderm's effects.
